You have multiple configurations to make the amp suitable for many subwoofers with varying wiring scenarios. The Asylum Car Audio CFAM1000.1 is stable down to 1 ohm. This is where you'll get the 1000 watts. You can also wire your subwoofers at 2  ohms as this amp is compatible. The included Owner's Manual provides multiple wiring scenarios for subwoofers to help you find the most impactful impedance so that your Asylum amplifier performs at its optimum. 

A bass control knob is included with all Mono-Block and 5-Channel amplifiers from Asylum Car Audio. We recommend using the bass know to make it super easy to adjust your subwoofer output. It's much more convenient than having to go into your head-unit's audio settings to adjust the bass. This is also especially important for safety while you're driving. 

The entire outer casing of this amplifier is a heatsink to help cool down the amplifier and prevent over-heating. The linear ridges you see on the sides of the amp are not just a component of design, it's also in fact increasing  the surface area of the heatsink. This makes for a much better cooling effect while maintaining the compact size of the amplifier. 

The notable vibrant metallic blue color is a pleasant visual when compared to the common black amplifiers on the market. The color is heavily powder-coated as to make the surface scratch resistant.
